About Honjo International Scholarship Foundation
The Foundation was created to offer scholarships to deserving students who are struggling to pursue their education in underdeveloped countries.

The Honjo International scholarship Foundation offers fully financed scholarships to international students. This grant is available for master’s and doctoral degrees. It covers the cost of travel to and from an international conference as well as a monthly stipend.

Scholarship Benefits
The scholarship benefits include:
- ¥200,000 monthly for 1 or 2 years.
- ¥180,000 monthly for 3 years.
- ¥150,000 monthly for 4 or 5 years.
- Travel expenses for attending an international conference.

Honjo International Scholarship Foundation Eligibility
To be eligible for this scholarship, you must fulfill the following criteria;
- You must be able to read and write Japanese and English languages.
- Scholarship eligibility covers all countries of the world. So, your continent or Country does not hinder you from applying. The university student who is not a citizen of Japan
- In theory, a student who enrolls in a graduate program for professionals is ineligible to apply. However, if you can submit a research plan, are welcome to apply.
- if you’re applying for a PhD program must have been born after August 31, 1984, in order to be eligible. A student must have been born after August 31, 1989, in order to apply for a master’s program.
- After graduation, you must be firmly committed to serving in his or her native nation. This does not imply that the individual will have a job lined up for them upon graduation from college or that they will return to their own country right away.
- You are required to have a profound awareness of intercultural goodwill and friendship, as well as to participate in the alumni network and attend foundation-sponsored activities.
- You must be able to communicate in everyday Japanese. Japanese will be used during the interviews. without exception.
