About the University of South Carolina

The institution was established as a public university in 1801. It is located in a city, with a total undergraduate enrolment of 26,864 (fall 2021), and has a 444-acre campus.

Furthermore, the university uses semester base academic calendars. The cost of in-state tuition and fees is $12,688, while out-of-state costs are $33,928.

Also, no matter what year they start at the university, South Carolina eases their students into the adjustment to college life.  University 101 is a first-year programme created by the university for freshmen to help them acclimatize.

Also, first-year students are required to reside on campus. The University provides a system of academic help called the Bridge Program for students transferring in from technical institutions.

The varsity sports teams at the school, known as the Gamecocks, play in the NCAA Division I Southeastern Conference. The college town of Columbia, offers a wide range of entertainment, nightlife, and outdoor activities for students to check out after classes.

In addition, short distance can be taken into consideration. In less than two hours, you may reach other college towns including Charlotte, North Carolina, and Charleston, South Carolina.
