University of Alabama Fully Funded Scholarship

The University of Alabama of is offering the Freshman Automatic Merit Awards. It is a fantastic opportunity offered by the School.

This application is available to international students with strong academic credentials who wish to pursue a bachelor’s degree at the University of Alabama in the United States.

Additionally, the grant automatically awards benefits toward the program fee to qualifying students.

Scholarship benefits

If a student is chosen as a Presidential Elite Scholar, they will receive the following benefits:

Value of tuition for up to four years for degree-seeking undergraduate and graduate or law studies

One year of on-campus housing at regular room rate
$1,000 per year stipend for four years
$2,000 one-time allowance for use in summer research or international study (after completing one year of study at UA)
$2,000 book scholarship ($500 per year for four years)

Scholarship Eligibility

Below are the eligibility status of this scholarship;

  • Applications are accepted from all eligible nations.
  • Additionally, a bachelor’s degree in any field.
  • You must also enroll in an undergraduate degree program at the university in order to be admitted. Candidates from abroad are welcome to apply.
  • Students admitted before January 15 and submit a scholarship application with all required supporting documents by the deadline will be eligible for competitive university and departmental scholarships.

How To Apply

To apply for this scholarship, you must or must have;

  • Complete out an online application and be admitted to the university’s undergraduate degree program.
  • Additionally, you will be impulsively advised for the award after taking affirmation. 
  • Also, you must bring copies of your passport, any necessary visas, and immigration documents like your PR card, current visa, and unofficial transcripts from all of your previous secondary schools.
  • You must also meet all other university entrance standards, including a minimum cumulative high school GPA of 3.0, ACT and SAT test scores, and other prerequisites.
  • Language Requirement: International applicants must submit the following as proof of their English language proficiency:
    a TOEFL iBT score of at least 79
  • Additionally, TOEFL code 1830
  • A paper-based TOEFL score of 550 or higher
  • IELTS score of 6.0 or above is also required.
    A 54 or higher on the Pearson Test of English.
  • After completing the scholarship application, you must click the Send Application to Undergraduate Admissions and Scholarships button on the final page. You will be considered for all scholarships for which you are qualified by submitting these pages.
  • Freshmen who were accepted before January 15 will be able to access the scholarship application.
  • Before March 1st, admitted entering transfer students will have access to the scholarship application.
